Manheim Township Public Library at 595 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This library is in a modern building and offers a decent selection of books. It has great a great variety of programs that utilize the community to teach lessons.

That being said, let me share my most recent experience. I just got home from grad school and have been looking for a quiet place to study. I was told that the study rooms were first-come, first-serve by a staff member. In addition, you could reserve the rooms for a period of time. I reserved a room for two hours but I noticed the study room provided had no desk. I moved to another room (which had a desk) and was subsequently kicked out by a staff member after about an hour of studying. When I tried to move to the room I had reserved, I was informed by the same staff member that she had nullified my original reservation.

The library is actually quite noisy, so the study rooms are a must if you are there for any type of real reading. I'm a fairly reasonable person (In my own humble opinion), but they way the staff dealt with this and the attitude they held throughout the process was unprofessional.

If you are looking for a study space, try another library.

It is a nice building, though.
